You supply the QuickBooks®! BTPDemo has been
developed to provide barcoding support for QuickBooks® and it will not
operate correctly without it. The
BarcodeTP
page details the versions of QuickBooks® and Microsoft Windows operating
systems with which BTPDemo will operate. BTPDemo is actually a fully
operational subset of BarcodeTP. Its functions are limited to Item Receipt,
Add a New Customer and Sales Receipt. It will not self-destruct at any time
in the future, so if those are all the functions you will ever need, BTPDemo
is the application for you and the price is right.
Do not try this tutorial with a dial-up link. As
you can see in the grid below, the largest download is about 5 1/3 MB.
However, BTPDemo requires the Microsoft .NET 2.0 framework. If it
is not present on the target machine, BTPDemoSrv will automatically
download it from the Microsoft web site. And dotnetfx20.exe's size is
almost 23 MB.
A number of simple tasks are necessary to set up your intranet web site and
execute the tutorial.

The Pocket PC emulators are distributed by Microsoft
as part of the Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK. To use the emulators, you
also have to download and install Microsoft ActiveSync. The
tutorial will be presented in the emulator format, but the product
is just as understandable in a PC window. So unless you really
value the added realism, this extra step is probably not a
valuable use of your time. To install the emulators, click on the
"Emulator.exe" download link in the grid above and follow the simple
step-by-step instructions.
